What a place to sit! A man was seen dangling his feet over the edge of the roof atop the Spencer W. Kimball Tower.

Police Beat on June 12, 2008
A blind deer was found by a resident at the Wymount Terrace. Provo Animal Control was called and they came and took care of the animal. They knew it was blind because it was running into things.

Police Beat for May 23, 2008
Someone called to report that the ducks and turtles were being stolen from the pond on the south end of campus. Police found that children were playing by the pond with the animals.

Police Beat: April 16, 2008
BYU police responded when they heard an explosion near a Helaman Halls dorm. Upon further investigation they discovered the remnants of an Axe Body Deodorant Spray Can. They have no suspects.

Police Beat: April 9, 2008
BYU police received a call of four suspicious characters writing on the sidewalk in front of the Missionary Training Center. The officer asked them to clean the sidewalk while he ran their ID's.

Police Beat: March 20 - 27, 2008
A 24-year-old male student was arrested after he drove his car down the ramp south of campus and then tried to evade the police. The student entered a dark covered parking lot in order to evade the police, but the officer could still see his break lights and arrested him.

Police Beat: March 19, 2008
A male student posted fliers in female dorm halls asking for dates to satisfy a dating requirement for his marriage preparation class. The fliers not only violate BYU policy but were disturbing female residents. Police discovered that the student was not enrolled in that class and the professor he said he had has retired.

Police Beat: March 12, 2008
Officers responded when they received a call that an adult duck was placed in a female dorm in Helaman Halls. The officers captured the frightened duck and returned it to the duck pond.

Police Beat: March 5, 2008
A student called BYU police when she observed four individuals at the duck pond attempting to catch ducks in a net. The officer who responded saw the individuals leaving the duck pond and ran after them.

Police Beat: Feb. 26, 2008
Two male students were reported for suspicious behavior at 1:40 a.m. in the parking lot of the J. Reuben Clark Building when they were lurking around and hiding behind cars. After questioning them, BYU police determined that they were playing a prank on their roommate who parked in his car and was with a friend.

Police Beat: Feb 13, 2008
A female parked in a lot near the Harris Fine Arts Center. When she returned to her car someone has deflated her tires. The female said that she hadn't received any threatening calls or emails. The event is currently under investigation.

Police Beat: Dec. 7, 2007
A University of Utah fan was head-butted by another man at the football game. The U of U fan had returned to his seat to find two young ladies standing on the seat, and words were exchanged.

Police Beat: Nov. 1, 2007
A group of students were planning to hold a rally to show support for the Colorado Rockies, who were playing the Boston Red Sox in the World Series. The police asked them to discontinue their activities and they complied.

Police Beat: Feb. 14 2007
Auxiliary services reported suspicious-looking money found in the BYU Laundry building. A worker received a dollar bill with a picture of Santa Claus glued over George Washington. The worker was also told where he could buy similar money online. The bill was tested to be authentic.

A male student attempted to leave the bookstore with a book and greeting card without paying.

Police Beat: Jan. 12, 2007
An individual took a bag of chips from the Subway sandwich shop located in the WSC Cougareat. University police apprehended the individual, who turned out to have repeated past offences. The individual received a 72-hour ban from campus.

Police Beat: Aug. 2, 2006
A parking officer reported an open container of alcohol in a vehicle near the Harris Fine Arts Center. Upon investigation, police determined the container in question was in fact an empty bottle of maple syrup.

Police Beat: June 30 - July 6, 2006
A student who admitted to removing bikes with abandoned claim tags on them from around campus called University Police to see if removing the bikes was legal.

Police Beat: June 13, 2006
In the Morris Center, two EFY participants were involved in suspicious activity. The EFY counselors reported the activity to the University Police and contacted the participant's parents.

Police Beat: April 2, 2008
Students received a strong verbal warning from a BYU police officer when they were caught trying to blind drivers by shining light in their eyes with small hand-held mirrors.
